SACRAMENTS
Baptism Baptism is celebrated after consultation with the parish staff as to date. Registered membership in the parish and attendance at a Baptism Class are required for all parents prior to their first child’s Baptism.
Holy Communion A two-year required sacramental preparation process begins in the first grade. It culminates in the celebration of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the second grade.
Confirmation A two-year required sacramental preparation process begins in the sixth/seventh grade. It culminates in the celebration of Confirmation.
Matrimony A six-month required sacramental preparation process begins when the engaged couple meets with the priest or deacon and culminates in the couple’s exchange of consent on their wedding day.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
A one-year process for preparation and study is required for all those interested in becoming Catholic.

Wedding Anniversary Celebration– September 28, 2019:
For all couples having their 10th, 25th, 40th, 50th or 50th plus wedding anniversary in 2019, the Bishop will celebrate with you at the Cathedral of Christ the King on Saturday, September 28th. The event begins with Mass at 5:00 PM with Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv. presiding, fol-lowed by a catered reception in Hehman Hall. We are also looking for couples newly married in 2019 to be hospitality ministers. If you or some-one you know is celebrating one of these jubilee anniversaries in 2019 or if you are newly married and would like to serve as hospitality ministers, please contact Claudia Green at the Catholic Center at (859) 253-1993, ext. 228 to make reser-vations by September 20. Parece que la vanidad, la prepotencia y la arrogancia domi-nan nuestras costumbres de todo y en nuestras conversaciones en Internet. ¿Quién no se ha molestado por los trolls de quienes intentan (por lo general con una mala gramática y falta de orto-grafía) empezar una pelea con aquellas personas que no coinci-den con sus opiniones? Nuestras tiendas, catálogos y tiendas virtuales en línea están llenas de cosas inútiles destinados al uso y por el precio a los ricos, en tanto las cosas ordinarias parecen desaparecer de esos lugares de venta. A medida que los ricos se hacen más ricos, los pobres se van haciendo más pobres y la cla-se media va desapareciendo. ¿Cuál es el antídoto para esto? La humildad es un buen lugar para empezar.
