Is a zebra black with white stripes or white with black stripes?

Is today yesterday’s tomorrow or tomorrow’s yesterday?

PARADOXis a statement that sounds contradictory but is true.

KINGDOM PRINCIPLESParadoxical^

1. Foolish but Chosen

1 Corinthians 1:26-29 (NLT)26 Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you

were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when

God called you. 27 Instead, God chose things the world

considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are

wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame

those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by

the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to

bring to nothing what the world considers important. 29 As a

result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.

2 Corinthians 12:7-10 (NIV)

7 Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was

given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment

me.8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from

me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my

power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all

the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power

may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in

weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in

difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

A man on top of a mountain, saying to himself: “I breathe so many cubic feet of air every year I fear I shall exhaust the oxygen in the atmosphere.”

But the earth might say: “Breathe away, O man, and fill thy lungs ever; my atmosphere is sufficient for thee.”
