Introduction

Lite-Plan Ltd is a private company formed in 1994, specialising in the design and manufacture of a wide range of emergency lighting conversion kits including a comprehensive variety of LED kits and devices.

The company concentrates on the promotion of its products via OEM customers and whenrequired provides labour and materials to carry out modifi cation work, thus ensuring thatconversion kits are incorporated properly in accordance the appropriate European andBritish standards.

All Lite-Plan conversion kits are designed and manufactured to conform to the relevantemergency lighting product standard BS EN 61347-2-7 and all conversion work carried outat Lite-Plan meets the relevant requirements of BS EN 60598-1 (Luminaires Part 1: Generalrequirements and tests) and BS EN 60598.2.22 (Luminaires for emergency lighting) and all other relevant standards.

We employ over 60 local personnel and pride ourselves on our excellent deliverysatisfaction level. A majority of our products are dispatched on a Next Day delivery basis –normally any order received before noon will be dispatched for delivery the following day,(time specifi ed at additional cost).

Lite-Plan’s experienced service engineers provide a skilled, technical ‘on-site’ service. Themodules manufactured and/or battery packs supplied are fully guaranteed.Having relocated to our bespoke 27,000 square foot factory in the fi rst quarter of 2008, ourcustomers are now able to benefi t from the increased capacity and effi ciency fashioned bythis investment.

Where required, Lite-Plan can off er a full conversion service for existing mains

only luminares to incorporate the full range of emergency conversion modules

or LED devices.

Although there is no specifi c British Standard covering Emergency Lighting

conversion, all conversions carried out by Lite-Plan professionals meet the rele-

vent requirements of BS.EN 60598-1 (Luminaires Part 1: General requirements

and tests) and BS.EN 60598.2.22 (Luminaires for Emergency Lighting) as well

as the relevant Industry Committee for Emergency Lighting (ICEL) regulations

(The use or modifi cation of Mains Luminares for Emergency Lighting Applica-

tions).

All modifi cations work is designed and carried out to have negligible eff ect on

EMC emmissions and susceptibility.

Lite-Plan carries out in excess of 5,000 emergency conversions each month

and following our recent relocation and additional warehouse space, we have

the capacity to increase this number still further. The skills and vast experience

of our conversion team ensures that all luminaires are suitably converted for

emergency use.

The SPD/5 is a compact 3 hour Maintained LED Emergency Lighting Module complete with DALI interface & Self Test function. The unit is designed to power 1 LED at 600mA or alternatively 2 LED’s at 350mA in Emergency mode. The unit is supplied with 6.0V 2Ah Nickel Cadmium Batteries.

A LED 2D retrofi t circular LED engine consisting of 36 LED’s with an inbuilt 240V AC control circuit designed to plug into a 28W 2D 4 pin lamp holder after wiring modifi cation. The unit can also be used as an Emergency light when used in conjunction with a Single Point Constant Current emergency pack, with a maximum output of 700mA, by powering the 8 additional LED’s on board. There is also a bi-colour LED on board, Green to indicate charge state and Red to indicate fault state when used with a Self Test unit.
