    Electric power transmission cable was developed after the invention of an incandescent lamp by Edison in 19th centuryand now transmission lines are built all around. Electric wire/cable including these accessories have been improved toanswer to the requirements for higher voltage, higher reliability. In recent years, remarkable development in high reliabili-ty for XLPE cable and in compact type joint/termination are achieved. In this paper, the state and view of technical devel-opment are described.
