La tradizione che lega Listone Giordano alla cultura del legno si

alimenta e consolida nelle foreste di Borgogna, in Francia, dove da

molti anni viene curata la selezione delle migliori materie prime.

Qui la gestione forestale si svolge attraverso un ciclo integrato

che abbraccia un periodo di oltre 180 anni.

Listone Giordano ha intrapreso da tempo un cammino in direzione

del rispetto e utilizzo consapevole delle risorse naturali, della

capacità di controllo sulla provenienza delle materie prime e della

tracciabilità lungo l’intero processo produttivo in uno stabilimento

produttivo perfettamente integrato in un contesto paesaggistico di

pregio bel cuore dell’Umbria.

Era il 1983 quando da un’ingegnosa intuizione del prof. Guglielmo

giordano, nasceva un pavimento in legno dalle caratteristiche

rivoluzionarie, che superava i limiti del parquet tradizionale e

inaugurava una nuova era. Stabilità, precisione, affidabilità,

bellezza, durata ed ecologia restano ancora oggi le parole chiave

di questo straordinario successo.

Le frontiere più avanzate di nuove forme e superfici si fanno

interpreti del design contemporaneo.

The tradition that links Listone Giordano to the culture of wood is

established in the forests of Burgundy, in France, where the best

raw materials have been selected for many years. The forestry

management in this area embraces an integrated cycle of more

than 180 years.

Listone Giordano long ago began moving in the direction of the

responsible use of natural resources, checking the origins of the

raw materials and ensuring traceability throughout the entire

production process, in a perfectly integrated and sustainable

production plant in the heart of Umbria.

It was 1983 when Prof. Guglielmo Giordano ingeniously

conceived a hardwood flooring of groundbreaking characteristics

that improved the limits of traditional hardwood flooring and

inaugurated a new era. Stability, precision, reliability, beauty, long-

life and respect for the environment are still the keywords to this

huge success.

The most advanced frontiers of the new shapes and surfaces are

reinterpreted in the name of contemporary design.

Per estendere anche al sistema distributivo quella costante

ricerca di qualità che accompagna il prodotto fin dalla selezione

della materia prima in foresta, Margaritelli, a partire dal 1995,

ha intrapreso un innovativo progetto commerciale ispirato al

franchising che ha portato in pochi anni alla creazione di oltre

550 punti vendita nel mondo (Parigi, Londra, Barcellona, Città

del Messico, Shanghai, New York, Pechino, etc.), tutti dedicati

al parquet, e caratterizzati da una forte immagine coordinata a

marchio Listone Giordano. Tra i punti di forza del nuovo concetto di

vendita spiccano gli evoluti sistemi espositivi per la presentazione

e spiegazione dei prodotti, l’articolato sistema di comunicazione e

marketing e l’innovativa gamma di servizi al cliente.

To extend the Company’s quality commitment through a

distribution channel that starts with the selection monitoring

of raw material from the forests, Margaritelli since1995 has

embarked upon an innovative commercial franchising programme

that has brought in few years to the creation of over 550

specialised hardwood - flooring retailers in the world (such as

Paris, London, Barcelona, Mexico City, Shanghai, New York,

Beijing, etc.) all devoted to the wood floor, and characterized by a

strong image coordinated to mark Listone Giordano. Some of the

most important aspects of the programme include the evolution

of in-store product display systems, articulated communication

and marketing concepts and innovative customer services.

Nel 2000 nasce la divisione Listone Giordano Contract che

sviluppa e realizza progetti e prodotti pensati per gli spazi

contemporanei. Struttura autonoma, che opera in maniera

integrata con gli altri dipartimenti aziendali del Gruppo e in

sintonia con le proprie filiali in Europa, Nord America e distributori

selezionati in circa trenta Paesi, con i quali condivide risorse,

organizzazione di base e un sistema di servizi collegati.

Ricerca industriale e sperimentazione in laboratorio.

Innovazione e grande flessibilità produttiva. Luogo del progetto

e della produzione dove i processi di lavorazione evoluti,

la continua ricerca della perfezione e il costante controllo dei livelli

qualitativi, convivono con il sapere artigianale acquisito in oltre

cento anni di “cultura del legno”.

In the year 2000, the Listone Giordano Contract division was

established to develop and implement projects and products for

contemporary architectural areas. It is an independent structure, which

operates with the other company departments in an integrated way.

It is in close contact with the branch offices in Europe, North America

and with selected distributors in about 30 different countries, which

share resources, a based organization and a system of linked services.

Industrial research and laboratory experimentations. Innovation and

large productive flexibility. Location of the project and of the production

where the evolution working processes, the continuous research for

perfection and the constant control of the qualitative levels, are coupled

together with the acquired artisan knowledge in over 100 years of the

“culture of wood”.

Listone Giordano Contract Division successfully operates in

several sectors of the large-scale contract market.

Hospitality, retail, residential, residential private and public

buildings stand side by side with luxury projects in the fashion

and yacht business. All the different aspects are still however

a very important and complementary elements of the wider

contract world interpreted by Listone Giordano. The creation

of custom-made wood flooring projects as well as large-scale

supplies are one of strengths and added value of the Listone

Giordano Contract Division. Collections are characterized by

dimension, width, finishing and surface treatments, wood

essences and construction techniques, being able to respond

qualitatively to different segments of the market.

Listone Giordano has always contributed to deeply changing the way of designing parquet. It has been able to combine nature’s

innate talent with mankind’s genius, by considering wood not just as a floor surface, but as an “architectural element”, capable
