Relevance: At the present stage of development of society when the general culture of the population considerably increased, patients of orthopedic offices of policlinics don't accept old dentoprosthetic materials and methods of their production. Sharply requirements of patients as to quality of dentures, and full restoration of the lost esthetic norms increased. In this regard the knowledge of anatomic features of a structure of teeth and skills of reproduction of their broken integrity, and also absent teeth meeting the increased requirements to quality and an esthetics are actual. One of actual problems of modern stomatology is the materials science problem which in the last time moves forward on one of the first places. It speaks, first of all that many achievements in stomatology are connected with progress of stomatologic materials science. Besides, efficiency and level of the orthopedic help in many respects is defined by properties and quality of stomatologic materials. The orthopedic stomatology uses absolute majority (more than 90%) of stomatologic materials. The correct use of stomatologic materials demands knowledge of their properties, and also all changes happening at their application. Problems of discipline: To give knowledge of the main regularities of biomechanics of the chewing device; To give knowledge of the basic principles of use of the main and auxiliary materials used in orthopedic stomatology and their changes at technological stages; To give an idea of the main tools and the oborudovaniyakh of dental laboratory Prerekvizita: The elective course "Phantom Course" is preceded by studying of normal anatomy, physics, mathematics, medical informatics, chemistry.
