What?“Fish for Life”
This project was being established by the initiative of our tribal youth leader Jeanny Lou Alejan last 2001. However, he was shot and died last April 2002 so this project were not succeeded because of that incident and there are some threats from the external environment. So the community decided to stop the operation from that time.
Whereas, for the meantime the community plan and decided to improve and develop the said fish pond in order for us to have an income e generating livelihood project.

Why?Before I left my community we conducted a meeting with
them and one of their concern is to continuethe project of our tribal youth leader inmemory to him. Then, to gain additionalincome for our survival. That is the reason thatthe title of my project is “Fish for Life” it meanslegacy and survival for our community.
As a mother as a wife it is very hard in part because I hadplenty of responsibility. But because of mycommitment to serve our community I knowand I believe that through the help of mycommunity and with different concernagencies, NGOs and most specially theguidance of all mighty this project would berealized.
I believe that through the implementation of thisproject it give as less burden specially now thatwe are on the struggle of our ancestral domainclaim. We need financial resourced and wecontribute every month Php. 10.00/household.So this project would really help to minimizedour contribution because it serve as our incomegenerating livelihood project.
