OverviewOverview

• BOT: Beginning of Trip trigger

• EOT: End of Trip trigger

So…what triggers BOT and EOT?

HOS sends a signal to the system at two points through the use of two triggers:

OverviewOverview

NOTE:NOTE: You can manually change the status back to driving to prevent an erroneous EOT.

BOTBOT signal is sent when the vehicle has moved 7/10 of a mile.

EOTEOT signal is sent when the vehicle is idle for 5 minutes.

Safety FeaturesSafety Features

As a key safety feature, this is designed to minimize distractions to the driver when the truck is in motion.

The time showing is the least amount of time before you are in violation of an Hours of Service rule.

Once you begin to move, the functionality disappears and is replaced with this DOT countdown clock.
