letters tothe editor...

This new building will house a fewover 50 people.

It will cost 1.6 million dollars,This amounits to a<bout $30,000 ex-penditure fcr each original occupant,

This does not include the costs forextra personnel and mainitenance.

There are many eldevly people andothers who are now having troublepaying their property taxes.

With all the bond electi(ns andhefty overlade levies for most schoolsin Latah County it could easily pushmore low income people into the wel-fare rolls.

The very problem we are trying tocure we are creating by increasingthe property tax.

It is not only property owners wh(should be responsible for these ex-penditures. Everyone must be in-cluded in bhe paying as well as in'the voting.

Most families will be paying high-er energy costs and with a 13% in-flation rate they cannct afford anymore taxes at this time.

Also, all these bond expendituresare outside the los,'imiiitabion on thepi'opel'ty 'tax.

Consider these points when votingon bond eleotions.
